The Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation Plan (DEC) outlines how the project will maximise its academic, policy, and societal impact. The plan details strategies for sharing findings on AI governance in Ghana and South Africa, focusing on how political, sociocultural, and ethical processes shape innovation and regulation. Through open-access publications, workshops in Accra and Galway, policy briefs, and a dedicated AI Governance Observatory (www.afrogain.com), AfroGAIN will engage academics, policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society.
Its communication strategy emphasises accessibility and inclusivity, using media outreach, university events, and social platforms to connect with non-specialist audiences. The exploitation plan ensures research outputs influence real-world policy and practice, with partnerships involving the African Union, MinoHealth, DataProphet, and Zindi. Together, these efforts will position AfroGAIN as a lasting platform for African-led contributions to global AI governance.
